Often times I am asked the question, How do I grow?
Really, it is to complex of a question to answer fully but there is one exception. No matter how you want to grow you must understand that Clarity is Growth. To delve further in that statement, I mean you must have a clear idea what you are trying to accomplish. Coupled with a solid action plan and then track it.
Really, growth is that simple.
How you are going to do it is less important and Why. When you know Why, the answers become clear. How you are going to do it is just part of the plan that needs to be executed.
Think about this. You sell 50 houses a year. You want to grow a team. The first thing you must ask yourself is Why?
- What is the purpose of building a team?
- What benefits do I receive?
- What is the exit strategy?
- What do I want out of it?
Often times we build with no clear idea of “Why” we are building.
That is not Growth, that is Insanity. If you had a clear understanding that you want to grow a team to do “X” in production and grow it to “X” amount of agents so that you can work less and manage and coach the agents, it will give you an income of “X” which is the quality of life you desire while working 20-30 hours per week.
Within 3 years you will open my own office / market center and then grow that to “X” in production and “X” in income. That has a pretty defined “Why” involved.
Take some time to ponder and meditate on what it is you really want and Why. Things will take on a whole new perspective. Then make a plan to do it and take the first positive step in that direction. That is how to Grow.
